Content & data sources

Where every club, story and asset comes from — and under what terms.

Original and fictional by default

Every league, club, player, competition, badge, trophy and story event in Legacy Eleven is original and fictional. The game does not use real players, real clubs, real results, or any dataset scraped from sports APIs, encyclopedias or other games. Names, cities, colors and crests are invented for this project.

Provenance ledger

Every asset — code, content, algorithm and AI generation — is recorded in a provenance ledger with its author, source type, license and review status. Only assets approved in the ledger enter a published world version. Random-number algorithms (cyrb128, sfc32) are public-domain implementations recorded with their source.

Open-source dependencies

The project is built on permissively licensed open-source software (MIT, Apache-2.0, ISC and similar). License and notice obligations are tracked per dependency in the ledger. No code or data is copied from repositories without a clear license.

AI provider

Narrative events are generated by a third-party language model accessed from the server only; your browser never sees a model key. The model receives a minimized career summary that excludes your email, payment details, IP address and authentication tokens. AI output is validated and filtered before it can influence a career.

Player-created names

You can name your player. Custom names are filtered for length, profanity, impersonation and real-public-figure or trademark misuse. Private careers are more lenient; anything you publish to a public profile is reviewed again. You can report or retract published content.
